ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     McKinney Community Development Corporation will conduct a public hearing on a project grant application submitted by Venezia Sapori to prepare their new location for the opening of the restaurant.

                     Project elements include parking lot and sidewalk repairs, replacement of retaining wall and new landscaping.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     Venezia Sapori will offer a diverse Italian menu at the restaurant and catering beyond its doors.

                     Venezia Pizza Café in Richardson has a 30-year history of serving customers with excellence.

                     Part of the Venezia mission is to contribute to the community by supporting charity events and fundraisers.

 

 FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     Funds allocated for MCDC Retail Development Infrastructure Grants total $300,000 ($150,000 for each of 2 cycles).

                     This is the first time Venezia Sapori has requested funding from MCDC.

                     The request is eligible for MCDC consideration under Section 501.103 of the Texas Local Government Code.
