ITEM SUMMARY:
• McKinney Community Development Corporation will conduct a public hearing on a project grant application submitted by Venezia Sapori to prepare their new location for the opening of the restaurant.
• Project elements include parking lot and sidewalk repairs, replacement of retaining wall and new landscaping.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Venezia Sapori will offer a diverse Italian menu at the restaurant and catering beyond its doors.
• Venezia Pizza Café in Richardson has a 30-year history of serving customers with excellence.
• Part of the Venezia mission is to contribute to the community by supporting charity events and fundraisers.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funds allocated for MCDC Retail Development Infrastructure Grants total $300,000 ($150,000 for each of 2 cycles).
• This is the first time Venezia Sapori has requested funding from MCDC.
• The request is eligible for MCDC consideration under Section 501.103 of the Texas Local Government Code.
