ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with Nu-Way Construction LLC for the Construction of Taxilane A4 project for a total contract amount not to exceed $2,493,500
• This is part of project Al2455, Taxilane A4 project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The TIRZ2 Board passed Resolution 2023-11-001 (TIRZ2) approving funding for McKinney National Airport Project AI2455, Access Taxilane A4, in the amount of $2,864,000.
• City Council passed Ordinance 2023-11-074 amending the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Annual Budget and the 2024-2028 Capital Improvements Program to provide funding for Project AI2455, Access Taxilane A4.
• Garver, LLC prepared the construction plans for the Taxilane A4 project.
• The City issued an Invitation to Bid (24-28CC) to solicit responses from qualified contractors for the Construction of Taxilane A4 on February 04, 2024.

o Posted on McKinney TV
o 1400 matching eBid supplier notifications which included 70 Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) suppliers.
• Out of the 1400 matching supplier notifications, five (5) bids were received and opened by Procurement Services on February 29, 2024. The following is a summary of the bids:

• Nu-Way Construction LLC submitted references and qualifications that were evaluated in accordance with the bid specifications as noted in the attached Letter of Recommendation from Garver, LLC dated March 07, 2024.
• The Airport recommends awarding Nu-Way Construction LLC the construction contract for the Taxilane A4 project.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes a contract and all necessary change orders with Nu-Way Construction LLC for an amount not to exceed $2,493,500
• Funding for this project is in CIP project Al2455, Access Taxilane A4
• Upon approval of this item, $0 will remain in Al2455
