RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $115,532.00, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with Gresham Smith for professional consulting engineering services for the Gerrish Pump Station Sewer Improvements Project (WW2338), for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $133,000.00.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The project will involve design services to address the deficiencies shown by the television inspection report on the 8-inch sewer line which crosses and parallels a 24-inch water transmission line at the Gerrish Pump Station.
* The design services include the following preliminary alternative alignment options and final design of the selected alignment:
o The first option will utilize the existing utility easements and alignment for rehabilitation or replacement in between Manholes 6476MH and 2485MH and new alignment from 2485MH to connect to the 18-inch sewer.
o The second option will include a new alignment connecting to existing sewer manholes or sewer lines in the project vicinity with adequate grade.
o Abandonment plan of approximately 500 linear feet of sewer line between 6476MH and 2411MH.
