ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes award of a fixed price contract with TRIARC Systems, LLC of Mansfield, Texas for Rifles for McKinney Police Department
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The purpose of this contract is to provide the Police Department with the ability to obtain rifles under a fixed price contract on an as needed basis.
• The City issued Invitation to Bid 23-04FP, Rifles For McKinney Police Department on October 30, 2022.
o Advertised in McKinney Courier Gazette
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 138 matching eBid Supplier Notifications which included eight (8) Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) suppliers.
• Out of 138 supplier notifications, four (4) bids were received on December 1, 2022, from the following suppliers:
o TRIARC Systems, LLC
o Caracal USA, LLC
o IWI US Inc
o Proforce Marketing, Inc.
• An evaluation team comprised of City staff reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o 40 Points - Purchase Price
o 25 Points - Extent to Which Submission Matches Specifications
o 20 Points - Delivery Schedule
o 10 Points - Vendor’s Trade In Program
o 5 Points - Reference Check
• The evaluation team recommends TRIARC Systems, LLC as the best value for the city.
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for one (1) year period with additional two (2) one-year terms.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funding for these services is budgeted in account 001-3121-423-8106.
