ITEM SUMMARY:
• Provide an update to City Council on the results of the airport bond referendum and discuss options for the proposed project.
• Edward Shelswell-White with Sky Synergy LLC, a consultant for the City on the proposed commercial passenger terminal project will be in attendance to lead a council discussion on the project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• On January 17, the 2023 Bond Committee presented a recommendation to the City Council for a $200 million bond package to fund the construction of a passenger terminal at McKinney National Airport.
• An election was held on May 6, 2023, with the bond referendum failing.
