RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with ANA Site Construction, LLC, for the Construction of the SH 5 Utility Relocations Project (CIP Projects WA1633 and WW1633) for a total contract amount not to exceed $19,770,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. prepared the construction plans for the SH 5 Utility Relocations Project (CIP Projects WA1633 and WW1633).
* TxDOT's design for SH 5 roadway improvements from Spur 399 to Power House Street is underway referenced as CSJ 0047-05-054.
* The planned improvements to SH 5 include a complete reconstruction as a 4-to 6-lane divided roadway. Construction of the planned improvements is estimated to begin in 2025 following City of McKinney relocation of water/wastewater facilities and TxDOT acquisition of necessary right-of-way.
* The SH 5 Utility Relocations (Power House Street to Spur 399) Project (CIP Projects WA1633 and WW1633) consists of required relocations and betterment of existing city water distribution mains and wastewater collection lines which have been identified to be in conflict with the proposed improvements to SH 5 by TxDOT.
