ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a change order with Dallas Garland & Northeastern Railroad Inc. (DGNO), for the railroad crossing improvements at East Virginia Street required for the Virginia Street and Throckmorton Street Infrastructure Improvements (Municipal Complex) Project (ST2235) for an increase in the total contract amount from $518,863 to a total contract amount not to exceed $574,863.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The Virginia Street and Throckmorton Street Infrastructure Improvements (Municipal Complex) Project began construction in March 2024.
* The City and DGNO entered into a Construction and Maintenance Agreement for the railroad crossing improvements at East Virginia Street required for the Virginia Street and Throckmorton Street Infrastructure Improvements (Municipal Complex) Project (ST2235).
* Improvements to the railroad facilities, including a new roadway crossing and automated warning devices with the addition of roadway gates are proposed to be constructed in conjunction with the roadway improvements.
