ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The UASI program focus is to support state and local efforts to prevent terrorism and other catastrophic events and to prepare the nation for the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to our security.

                     This project will fund the purchase of a 3D Laser Scanner/Mapping System that will be used to create scale replications of critical infrastructure and high-risk locations including all schools and select government buildings within the City of McKinney. These representations will be shared with other agencies to use during Active Attack training in order to best plan and prepare adequate responses to a terroristic threat.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The UASI program grant award has been sought annually by the City of McKinney to help prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural, man-made, and technological threats and hazards.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     If awarded, the grant amount is expected to be $70,000.

                     There is no match required for this grant.
