• Approval of Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes an award of a fixed price contract with Alderink Enterprises, Inc. dba C.I. Pavement and Jim Bowman Construction Co., L.P. for Concrete Street and Sidewalk Construction Repairs and Striping Services.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Invitation to Bid 18-09FP Concrete Street and Sidewalk Construction Repairs and Striping Services.
• Four (4) bids were received on October 26, 2017
• An evaluation team comprised of three City employees reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o 50 Points: Purchase Price
o 25 Points: Response Time
o 15 Points: Reputation of Bidder and of the Bidder’s Goods and Services Verified through Reference Checks
o 10 Points: Bidder’s Past Relationship with the City of McKinney
• The evaluation team recommends awarding Alderink Enterprises, Inc. dba C.I. Pavement as the Primary Contractor and Jim Bowman Construction Co., L.P. as the Secondary Contractor for the following:
Section 1: Sidewalk Construction and Repair
Section 3: Utility Cuts
Section 4: Stamped Concrete
• The evaluation team further recommends awarding Jim Bowman Construction Co., L.P. as Primary and Alderink Enterprises, Inc. dba C.I. Pavement as Secondary for the following:
Section 2: Street Repairs
• Additionally, the evaluation team recommends awarding Jim Bowman Construction Co., L.P. the following:
Section 5: Striping
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for a one (1) year period with two (2) one (1) year renewal options.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funding for these services are currently budgeted in Public Works Street and Maintenance accounts.
