RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with RKM Utility Services, Inc. for the construction of Pearson Avenue and Related Drainage Improvements (Waddill Street to Kentucky Street) Project (CO1703) for a total contract amount not to exceed $2,620,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Freese and Nichols, Inc. prepared the construction plans for this project.

* Three (3) bids were received for this project on April 19, 2018. The following is a summary of the bids:

* The contract documents require that this project be substantially completed within 315 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, which is expected to be issued in July 2018. Construction is expected to be complete by June 2019.
