* Habitat for Humanity of Collin County has submitted a project grant application requesting a total of $773,254 for funding of critical home repairs for low income residents in McKinney through A Brush with Kindness program ($120,000); land acquisition and lot preparation for up to six lots for construction of homes for low income residents in McKinney ($300,000); and the Cotton Groves Amenity Center, foundation engineering costs and Park Land Dedication fees ($353,224).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Habitat for Humanity of Collin County has been building homes for working, low-income families since its incorporation in 1992.
* HFHCC utilizes a two-pronged initiative for low-income families: construction of new homes; and exterior home repairs.
