RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $116,975, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with Maldonado-Burkett, LLP. for professional consulting engineering services for the design of continuous roadway illumination on Harry McKillop Boulevard from State Highway 5 (McDonald Street) to Airport Drive, for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $135,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Harry McKillop Boulevard was constructed in 2018 by TxDOT and the continuous roadway illumination was not included with the project. Harry McKillop Boulevard has been identified and recommended for installation of continuous roadway illumination by City of McKinney Engineering Department.
* Maldonado-Burkett, LLP. submitted a response to 2018-02RFQ for traffic engineering services. They were one of three firms shortlisted in the traffic engineering studies category by City Council on January 16, 2018.
* Construction of this project is estimated to cost a total of approximately $705,000.
* Maldonado-Burkett, LLP. submitted a proposal for this project in the amount of $116,975 (16.6% of the overall estimated construction cost) to perform the engineering services. Additional services, if needed, will be provide...
