ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with Douglas Dailey Construction, LLC for the Main Replacements & Street Rehab (Northwood Park / Westwood Park Area) Project, for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $5,520,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Cobb, Fendley & Associates, Inc. prepared the construction plans for the Main Replacements & Street Rehab (Northwood Park / Westwood Park Area) Project (CO1902).

* The overall project consists of the replacement of approximately 4,150 linear feet of substandard water mains, 11,200 linear feet of substandard wastewater mains and approximately 22,000 square yards of failed pavement including sidewalks, generally located west of US 75, north and south of Virginia Parkway.
* The project will be utilizing an innovative method of underground utility replacement known as "pipe bursting" to minimize surface construction impacts to surrounding residents and traffic.
* On Thursday, February 20, 2020, the Purchasing Department opened the Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals (RFCSP) for the project. Two (2) Competitive Sealed Proposals were received for Bid No. 20-17CC.
