RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This agenda item will authorize a professional services contract with Studio Outside Landscape Architecture, in a contract amount of $506,500 and not to exceed $550,000, to provide landscape architectural design services for four new diamond fields, restroom/concession building, pavilion, parking and trail connections within Gabe Nesbitt Park.

* The estimated construction budget for this project is $8 million dollars.

* These improvements will be located immediately east of the existing baseball fields and south of the library and are being designed in accordance with the recent master plan update for the park.

* Ancillary improvements include additional parking, a centrally located restroom and concession building with storage, picnic pavilion and trail connections to the existing hike and bike trails that are within the park.
