RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a professional services contract with BEST EMS to provide a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner to assist the MFD in serving the needs of the community to include but not limited to:
o Participation in dispatch-triage, telemedicine, and low acuity calls
o Support of EMS response to low acuity calls
* Including suturing and basic evaluation and treatment in the home and/or at the scene
o Homeless clinics to assess, diagnose, and treat chronic conditions
o Assist with Community Health Paramedicine care of patients
o Assist with vaccinations efforts
o Continual development of the Nurse Practitioner program
