RECOMMENDED PARK BOARD ACTION:
* Approval of the Recommendation.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This proposed trail project will connect the existing Wilson Creek trailhead on the north side of Eldorado Parkway to the McKinney Greens parkland. This is a critical connection that will provide a continuous pedestrian connection from this park all the way to our parkland near Lake Forest Drive.
* The proposed project will provide connectivity between Towne Lake and the McKinney Greens parkland and include amenities such as:
o Trail improvements
o Bridge crossings
o Trail overlook
o Site furnishings
* This agenda item will authorize a professional services contract with LJA Engineering, to provide design and construction administration services for the Wilson Creek Greens Trail.
* This item is scheduled for City Council consideration on December 21st.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* LJA Engineering was selected from a list of pre-qualified landscape architectural firms that Council approved on June 18, 2019.
