ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with Axis Contracting, Inc., for the Construction of the East Louisiana Street Improvements and Andrews Street and Green Street Infrastructure Improvements Projects for a total contract amount not to exceed $10,120,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* BGE, Inc. prepared the construction plans for the East Louisiana Street Improvements Project (CIP Projects ST1817, WA1817, and WW1817 - Formerly CO1817) and the Andrews Street and Green Street Infrastructure Improvements Project (ST2267, WA2267, and WW2267 - Formerly CO2067).
* The East Louisiana Street Improvements project consists of reconstruction of East Louisiana Street from McDonald Street (SH 5) to Murray Street, including replacement of underground utilities (storm, water, and wastewater).
* The East Louisiana Street Improvements project also includes upgrades to lighting, wider sidewalks, hardscape and landscape improvements, and a roundabout intersection at East Louisiana Street and Greenville Road.
