RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $196,630.00, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with RJN Group, Inc. for professional engineering services for the aerial wastewater crossing improvements (US 380 and Throckmorton Street) Project (CIP Project WW4348), for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $226,000.00.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The Capital Improvements Program (CIP) includes recurring programmed funding for major repairs and/or replacements of existing wastewater aerial crossings. Aerial crossings generally occur at creeks/streams and require wastewater mains to be structurally supported in the air while allowing stormwater flows to cross.
* CIP Project WW4348 includes funding for the aerial wastewater crossing improvements near the intersection of US 380 and Throckmorton Street.
* The project will include replacement of existing 12-inch wastewater main beginning from approximately 400 feet west of the US 380/Throckmorton Street intersection, then across Throckmorton Street, then to approximately 250 feet east of the US 380/Throckmorton Street intersection.
