RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $253,800 with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to provide consulting engineering services for the Citywide Wayfinding and Branding Master Plan and authorizing all necessary change orders under said contract up to an aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any change orders, not to exceed $279,800.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* In 2005-07, City staff developed a Wayfinding Master Plan that focused on the downtown shopping district and parking lots, museums, arts and sports venues. Staff plans to review this plan along with other major city master plans and standards as part of the 2021 update.
* The Citywide Wayfinding and Branding Master Plan update will allow City staff to review the existing wayfinding signage and develop a more robust signage plan that accounts for all the new destinations and integrates the latest technology and gateway monument signage. The new wayfinding sign design will support the City by creating a brand that not only welcomes visitors but also encourages exploration.
