RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution establishes the times for the reduced speed school zones at the following schools for the 2021 summer school sessions:
? Comstock Elementary School
? Hughes Elementary School
? Reuben Johnson Elementary School
? Dowell Johnson Middle School
? McKinney North High School
* Frisco Independent School District, Prosper Independent School District and McKinney Independent School District will all hold in-person summer school at school campuses within McKinney.
* The summer session at Comstock Elementary School will begin May 24, 2021 and will end June 10, 2021. School will be in session from 8:00 am to 11:00 am Monday through Thursday. With no student pedestrians crossing the intersection of Alma Road at Silverado Trail to attend summer school session at Comstock Elementary School, the reduce speed school zone at this intersection will not be activated during the summer session.
* The summer session at Hughes Elementary School will begin May 27, 2021 and will end June 18, 2021. School will be in session from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm Monday through Friday.
* The summer session at Reuben Johnson Elementary School will begin June 1, 2021 and will end June 23, 2021. School will be in session from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday through Thursday.
