ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $333,500 with Teague Nall & Perkins, Inc. to provide consulting engineering services for the Glen Oaks Drive and Ridge Road Roundabout Project (ST2230) and authorizing all necessary change orders under said contract up to an aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any change orders, not to exceed $380,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* In 2019, the Engineering Department contracted with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to identify feasible locations for roundabout intersections citywide. The study identified the intersection of Glen Oaks Drive and Ridge Road as roundabout candidate.
* In 2020, an Intersection Control Evaluation (ICE) for the Glen Oaks Drive and Ridge Road intersection was completed by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. The analysis performed an analysis of maintaining the intersection as an all-way stop controlled, retrofitting into a roundabout, or installing a traffic signal. Based on all the factors analyzed, the report determined that a retrofit of this intersection into a multi-lane roundabout provides the best long-term solution, improves intersection safety, and provides adequate level of service for projected traffic volumes.
