ITEM SUMMARY:
• Melissa and Princeton, current MUTD municipalities, are not included in the MFUZA established by the 2020 Census.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Melissa and Princeton, MUTD municipalities, were not included in the MFUZA. The MFUZA is a UZA designation established by the 2020 Census.
• If Melissa and Princeton want to continue service funded by grants, a Rural Transit District must be established.
• Staff requests permission to explore the possibility of a Rural Transit District in order to maintain service for Melissa and Princeton.
